Stewart Davis, M.D.
Senior Advisor
Stewart brings life sciences experience across many therapeutic areas. His expertise and experience include medical and clinical affairs, regulatory and quality, business development and operations, in both public and private companies. He brings expertise in areas including ophthalmology, gastroenterology, general surgery (open, laparoscopic, endoscopic, NOTES, minimally invasive), vascular and cardiothoracic surgery, interventional radiology, plastic surgery and cosmetic dermatology, orthopedics, bariatrics and hernias. Stewart has been involved in life sciences strategic consulting through his role as Medical Director and Partner at Parasol International. He has also served as Medical Director to various medical device firms. He most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of SafeStitch Medical, a publicly traded medical device firm specializing in minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery, and has worked with medical device start-ups Innovia, InnFocus, InnoGraft and GEN4. Stewart has published many peer-reviewed journal articles and received multiple NIH grants. Stewart holds an M.D. from the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, as well Bachelors of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Miami Honors Program.
